You're joking right? Card Captor Sakura. She does not put the wierd monsters into cards though - the cards ARE the wierd monsters. Do yourself a favor and check it out. It is one of the finest anime series there is.

The anime is Card Captor Sakura, or if you live in America, you might have seen it as Cardcaptors.

The girl, Sakura Kinomoto (or Avalon), is the Card Captor. She must reassemble the deck of Clow Cards after she accidentally set them all free. Helping her with this task is Tomoyo Daidouji (Madison Taylor), Li Syaoran (Lee Showran), and Kerobaros (Kero-chan!).

Yes, that would be the anime/manga Card Captors, with the main character being Sakura Kinomoto, a young middle school girl who has to catch monsters released from their prisons (the cards were something like a prison). She gets help from her best friend Tomoyo (or Madison as in the dubbed version) and a being that was to gaurd the cards, Keroberos (or Kero for short).

This was one of my first animes and mangas that I read and I highly recommend it to anybody.
