and is this the same for airspace too , i am sure everyone agrees that airspace belongs to everybody not the countries why the heck do we need boundaries for each country ?

If you lived right on the ocean, you might object to others swimming right off your beach. Every sovereign nation has territorial waters, usually extending off each respective coastline for a certain distance. It is done due to a sense of ownership, protection, and commerce for each respective country.
