There's a bunch of smaller parks in New England other than the big parks like Six Flags.

Lake Compounce in Bristol CT is very good.

Lake Quassy is ok

York's Wildkingdom, Old Orchard Beach, and Palace Playland are all near to each other just over the Maine border.

Storyland in Glen, NH is pretty decent too.

Santa's Village in Jefferson NH

Canobie Lake in Salem NH's good too!

All depends on where you're comin from.

Hope that gives you a few to start with!

StoryLand and Santa's Village. They are both in the White Mountains of NH and you can spend the day at each park easily. We take our 4 yr old and neice and nephew there all the time. It's lot of fun for the grown ups too:)

And Six Flags has the Wiggles there this year, too. So there's another idea.
