I'm traveling to London at the beginning of May and wanted to know about some cool places to go for some good authentic English Fish & Chips....any advice? I'm staying near Kings Cross.

I've found you a site giving the best places for fish and chips according to what you specified:

Here's something near King's Cross:

I hear that the place in Lisson Grove is good.

You might also find that a local place, queuing up for something in a paper wrapper, is quite reasonable!

Hope you enjoy your stay here.

if your in kings cross this is near and very nice Fryer's Delight is a fish and chip shop. It was established in 1973 and was voted the best fish and chip shop in central London by Harden's. Customers vary from office staff and taxi drivers to TV celebrities. It is located at 19 Theobald's Road. Approx. 15 minutes walk from Ashlee House.

a Greasy Spoon...or anywhere that looks like it's been serving food since people were throwing their excrement out of the nearest window
