Note: this only happens to me everyone else using the same laptop has no problems. We are running XP and the laptop is a Sony. Also the last thing I remember when the keyboard worked is I got a pop-up warning that I was holding down the caps lock key too long.

An easy way to fix this is to have an adminstrator level (on that pc) delete your profile.

When you log in again, it will make a new one for you from the Default profile.

On thought: you might have triggered an "Assessibility Option" feature. If you can get into the control panel and turn it off, your keyboard might work again.
