sony vaio laptop??? model vgn-fj170????

does anybody know what it means when the site keeps saying that my laptop is a doblue layer dvd drive??? sony said the samething and i forgot to ask before i hung up!!!! thanks

Double layer and dual layer means it can handle the the new style dvd's in addition to the older single layer dvd disks. The dual's hold about twice as much info.

It's a good thing.

it probably means it can burn duel layer dvd9 disks ..
