Douglas: 'Grease', though filmed in 1978, was set in the 1950s. And 'Fame' (most excellent) came out in 1980. :-)
Everybody keeps saying 'Grease'. If you can't read and understand a very simplistic question, then maybe you should go back to high school yourselves...LOL!
Up In Smoke? - Erh, not a high school in sight! You must've been smokin' some good popcorn when you saw that! lol
Other than the already mentioned 'Carrie' 'Cooley High (which became the What's Happening tv show) & 'Rock & Roll High School' the only other one I can remember is 'Rock Candy'. What happened was in 1980, came the release of 'Fame' and 'Fast Times At Ridgemont High' which gave birth to 'The Last American Virgin' and 'Porky's'(RIP BoB Clark) and then we were just FLOODED with teen high jinx movies! I mean flooded. There must've been 2 new ones a week come out for a couple years there. So basically, as far as this genre is concerned, the 70s was foreplay, the 80s was full-on sex! LOL!

Cooley High
That movie is a classic for Black America and it starred some of the top stars you may know today.
That is also the movie that had an AWESOME Motown soundtrack including the original version of the song, It's so Hard to Say Goodbye, that the group Boys II Men later remade.

the only one that comes to mind is grease. of course i was a very young person back then and realy did pay attention to high school aged movies. for me it was disney and looney toons
