If you have an IP address of someone is there any way you can specifically narrow it down to exact places that have that IP address? I have tried the yahoo website.

Just answered this not too long ago.

The answer is: within about 50 miles or so, depends on how the Internet access was setup in the area.

To get any closer you need a court subpoena to get the ISP's records.

Try querying these databases using the IP address;
http://www.arin.net/index.shtml
http://www.internic.net/whois.html
http://www.ripe.net/

If none of these databases have a match, they WILL tell you which database to query (hopefully its not an APNIC address, as these reverse IP records are notoriously flaky)

You would need to ask the service provider -- who probably won't tell you.
