Can you very precisely explain me where the money to earn is with real figures ? just not opinions and "I assume... I heard...."

I work myself in global warming mitigation... so be extremely precise !!!

So if you know more I would be really thankful, it would help me a lot !!!

I would be glad to earn even 10% of what the people in the oil or weapon sector earn or what the consultants who banckrupted ENRON earned.

I think some people did not get the point that like in each sector, you have to work and be smart to earn your money and there is only a certain internal rate of return which if is too high would lead to new entrants in the market and would reduce it. On the top of that, most carbon creditors actually lose money

The biggest money to be made from global warming is on the "Holy Grail" - the development of ANYTHING that'll free us from the daily fear of headlines like - "Oil Spikes to $500 a Barrel on Fears Saudi Prince Was Bitten By Gnat"

I'm so SICK of that! I swear I was never afraid of being hit by a nuclear (nu-Q-lar) bomb. Why would anyone be? Like you'd ever know what the heck hit you?

But we enjoy a completely unnatural, heavenly life where fuel floats us to the heavens - literally - every day. What SHOULD be feared is the threat that, now that we've increased our population to 25 times the natural limit, we might suddenly have no way of even surviving...much less catching a flight to Tokyo.

No, I tend to see the best profits in finding fuel that doesn't rely on or even involve petroleum; In developing PV-panels for $.50/kw, installed; in perfecting cheap geothermal; in more efficient electricity transmission (so geothermal-rich areas can distribute power) and in making oil from algae. Stuff like that.

Your theory is somewhat misguided.

Start again from the concept that, in the case of industry, and specifically in the case of auto makers, it's not the pollution that signifies profit, but the elimination of it that will cut into existing profits.

Therefor, it is more the case that ignoring the elimination of pollution contributes to profits, profits that will shrink with each new development.

Begin with a study of what costs had to be added to auto production with the introduction of devices like the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve, the air injection pump (no longer needed due to improved technology) and the catalytic converter. There are far more developments that car makers have fielded over the decades as well.

Starting in the year 1968, manufactures were compelled to move from existing technology to cleaning the exhaust of every new car built from that point on.

History shows that each and every additional device has a cost. A cost that must either be passed on to the customer or lost in profits.

The same logic path can be applied to almost every industry that engages in making things that pollute, or pollute in the process of manufacturing.

Read this idea a few more times before trying to dismiss it.

There is money to be had in government grants dealing with global warming. Universities are paying researchers. There is a whole industry growing up around global warming.. Take a look at AL Gore's assertion that he is buying his way into equilibrium for the carbon footprint of his home. The company he is buying it from is a company in which he is part owner. So there is money to be made from it.

Also, there are corporations to destroy and there are some (NOT ALL) in the environmental lobby who believe most corporations are greedy destroyers of earth.
