WHY did they pick that name? Does anyone know? I mean when I hear the word "Incubus" I instantly think death metal. I haven't heard many of their songs but the ones I have heard sound so soft.

Try listening to Science or anything before that, after MakeYourself they got more 'radio friendly'

An Incubus is a male Being of the Night that comes to you while you sleep to seduce you. The female version of this Being is Succubus. Anyway, they are not metal and they are not bubble gum...they are excellent. Get "Incubus Alive at Red Rocks" on DVD and get blown away.

they got their name when the lead guitar player picked up a dictionary and opened it to a random page and put his finger on a word. The word happened to be incubus so they decided to name thier band that.
