Yes, but there's a way to handle that: You get on your bike, peddle to his place of employment and meet him there before he leaves work. When he asks what you're doing there, you tell him that mom is entertaining the milkman at home and that you don't think he oughta come home for awhile. You then jump back on your bike and race home before he gets there. When he does arrive, you simply say to mom ( in front of dad ), "Mom, what happened to the milkman you were kissin' a little while ago"? A major fight then ensues between the two of them, and when the fight is over there's good chance that poor ole' mom will have forgotten altogether about her original threat and the reason behind it. Of course, this can only work once, but atleast it results in one less punishment than you otherwise would've received!

When i was young yes lool. I remember a day when my mother was out to hang out the washing and i was doing my homework. At that time the cooker was on, and since when i was young, i liked a lot fire burning thing etc., I took a piece of paper and made it beside the cooker, and obviosly it took fire lool. Then i got afraid, and threw the paper catching fire in the bin, resulting burning also the bin. haha. Then I had to call my mom and she told me: "Wait til your father gets home!" Then I got very afraid, but it wasn't so bad as I expected lool.

No. He was never home before 1- 2 am. She had a hard time spending the whole day with all of us (4 siblings) by herself.
She's a great Mom

My mom might say it, yet no longer something ever got here approximately. I say it now sometimes yet it is by technique of the fact i do no longer self-discipline my step-teenagers, I bypass away that to their mothers and fathers. i think of interior the previous men in many circumstances performed a lesser place interior the elevating of their teenagers. i think of on the instant it truly is greater suitable for a father to coach love and emotion to his teenagers have been as in the previous it ought to have been seen as being 'comfortable' or something. there is an marvelous e book I examine some years in the past referred to as the way We in no way have been by ability of Stephanie Coontz related to the kinfolk and how our perceptions of what it replaced into like are skewed by ability of the television exhibits of the 1950's.

Sometimes, but she wasn't afraid to use her own scare tactics which were the worst! She would make us go out to a particular bush and pick our own switch in which she would use to whip us (me and my brother). That was an awfully short walk back from the bush to her held out hand....

Per the Bible, "... firmly and lightly tapped once or twice on the upper leg with a small switch. ... p.223 "When parents punish their children, they are carrying out God's judgment. ."

I definitely do not recall being "firmly and lightly tapped once or twice on the upper leg". But then use of the belt became the preferred method, and I'll immediately stop there.

Yes she did and yes it was that bad also. My aunt would say wait till your uncle gets home also and that was pretty bad too. No matter what we were threatened though we still kept it up. We just could not get to sleep at night without that whipping.

No I don't believe I ever heard that from my mom, but I do say to my little brother "Wait til your mother gets home!"

Even though we have the same mom. I just like to say it.

I don't remember it like that but I am sure it was said. My parents divorced when I was 10yrs old and then I did have to tell my father myself what I had done. He never hit us but the lectures were worse. lol.
