You ans S are right. Killing someone is NEVER a cool thing to kid about.
In every case where a student killed other students, they told people but EVERYONE thought they were kidding. If only ONE person would have reported it, those students would probably be alive today.
It's very hard to tell if someone is kidding or not when it comes to murder.
K should have never said what she did. Those kind of threats have to be looked into because of their serious nature. Maybe K will think twice now before making threatening remarks.
I'm glad to say, that S did the right thing and so did you for sticking up for her.

sort of same thing here! k, so boy said he stole my cell phone, friend tells teacher for me, boy is confronted, boy says was kidding, boy cries. i emailed him saying i was sorry for the mix up, even though i really wasn't that involved in it, and now i feel like i can say we are close friends. anyways, you are right to be on S's side. i mean, it was only detention, not like suspension. maybe S should talk with K or your vice principal and explain the situation and how she is sorry. now a question for you: did K say this in an obviously joking tone, or did she sound serious? has she been known to commit crimes or constantly get in trouble? if K has a perfectly clean record, this situation is just a crazy misunderstanding, but if she does have a bad record, then you can't blame S at all for making the mistake. she was just trying to keep someone from getting hurt. but yes, you chose the right side if K is that rude to try to ruin S's life.

No way! You're totally right! I if K was kidding she should've made herself more clear. And S shouldn't be at any fault here. She was probably just trying to help K thinking she was serious. So she was trying to prevent her friend from getting into bigger trouble. Now does K know that S just made a mistake? If not you should tell her and try to talk things out, all 3 of you. If so, then maybe K is being the beeyotch because we all make mistakes and if they're best friends it'd be stupid to throw away their friendship over something stupid like that.

You were siding with the right person. S had no way of knowing that K was kidding even if they were best friends. It could have possibly been a dangerous situation. So you should continue to side with S. I think K is very wrong to still be mad at S.

Side with S. She meant well, and really is detention all that bad. S did what was right in that situation, and with all the school shooting and killings going on, she just wanted to be safe. K should get over it, or talk to S about it.

K and her boyfriend and wrong- what a couple of losers.
If S made a mistake and apologized, and K said she was wrong to be mouthing off- fine. It could all be over.. but Noooooo, K and her boyfriend have to keep this drama going on and on and on
K and her boyfriend need to grow up.
I'd stick with S.

while "S" should have known better to tell on "K" and not have taken the statement so literaly (i say i'm going to shoot someone all the time)
"k" is holding a stupid grudge. a detention isnt that bad.
it's good for you to stick up for your friend however i don't think you should be on anyones side.
this is their fight and you don't want to get involved. that can only lead to bad things
