If there were no drugs involved, then I would say the main question is how literally you mean this. I mean, did you actually hear them in the same way you hear ordinary conversation, or was it something you might chalk up to imagination? The fact is, any so-called inanimate object has a personality of its own, and it would not be all that weird to imagine them talking to one another. But it is important to separate that sort of imagination from the more ordinary reality in which most people live most of the time.
If it starts to frighten you, go talk to a trusted adviser.

Well that's pretty strange but, it's possible you have poltergeist activity in the house. Do you feel psychotic? or just freaked out? Most psychosis doesn't start like what you described. It usually is more subtle. What were the tables saying to each other? Have you been taking any drugs? There are many things that you must rule out. I'd stay calm and think things through, before I panicked and called the shrink. Could you have been sleepwalking? These are reasonable explanations that you must exclude before reaching into the paranormal bag.

Well not so much psychotic as rude ! How dare you listen in on the table's conversation without being invited. I have a voice that lives in my pillow. When I lie down I can hear the voices coming from deep within the pillow. They aren't quite loud enough to make out what they are saying but they are always there.

It depends ,liek the person above said if there were no drugs it depends on the situation. If you keep hearing things you might want to check it out, but if it is just a one time thing I think you can let it slip by.
