Who was more impressive:

7IP 8K 1ER vs Boston lineup
7IP 10K 1ER vs KC lineup

The kid is 23 yrs old and was highly touted until he pretty much took last year off. I'm am in no way a KC fan but geez can we get of Matsuzakas jock strap for a second and give him credit.

To come out and pitch a game like that with all the extra media attention that Dice-k is getting it musta felt like a World Series game that youngster was pitching,Bravo,Kudos, and a standing O for the guy.

Your right I don't like the Royals but Zack Greinke is one of the best pitchers in the league he just doesn't have the run support in KC too prove that. If he ends up leaving KC and goes to a team that can give him some runs then he'll definently be considered for a Cy Young award.

I just got back from the game, both guys looked great. As a Royals fan, I'm glad to see that Grienke shook off the depression he had that kept him out almost all of last season. He looked like he did his rookie season (where his win loss record was a little skewed because the Royals couldn't score for their life that year). Even though the Royals lost, I was impressed to say the least.

I have a hard time picturing people warming up to an athlete who took an entire season off due to social anxiety issues. Fortunately, fans have short memories and will embrace the guy if he continues to throw quality innings.

KC is a team that can ill afford to have gems like that go by without winning them.

That was a great job by Zack.

Tough break for KC. Zack pitched his heart out but the bats just weren't there today.
