Sometimes I spend more time trying to figure out what I do to build a happy life, then realize that life is passing by and I'm not getting any closer to happiness!

If you are afraid of taking the wrong path in life; just take each day, step by step, and decide how to handle each circumstance. One at a time. If you don't know right off how to handle something; maybe this is one you need to give some serious thought. If someone puts you on the spot for an answer or trys to pin you down; take that as a sign that maybe something is wrong with this. Tell the person something like,"You know, I'd have to think about this for a while. I'll get back to you if I can do it." Maybe, you can let it go with that, but if they keep after you, say, "I've given it some thought and I'm not going to be able to do that." Or, "I don't feel comfortable doing that." "Maybe you can find someone else." Or maybe you can come up with something better to say. If you get a slight feeling something is wrong or could get you in trouble; don't be talked into it. Stick with your convictions. You'll feel proud of yourself for doing the right thing.

I get terrified when it comes to taking the wrong path in life. Up to the point where I dont want to grow any older. But, God gave us free will, right? or whatever you believe in. Us as humans were given the right of free will and the ability to make our own decisions. Sometimes it doesnt take a lot of thought because when it comes down to a tough decision, all you really need to do is weigh the most important options then choose and keep with it. if it wasnt meant to be then things will change and that may hurt, but eventually youll find the right path if you see youre on the wrong path and decide to go another way. thats something thats hard to see though..

I think more of worries concerning finding the right path and less about taking the wrong due to the wrong path being so easy to find/identify.
Not doing something is the easy part, finding what to do is where the difficulty lays.

The problem is similar, but semantically, differs slightly in answer. No I am not afraid to to "takeing" a wrong path can be stoped by ciesing the action firthering it. Yes, I also have problems identifing the "Right" path in life (as in defining what I want to do)

Heck yes! I'm afraid as heck especially since I'm at a fork in life deciding my career. Yet I realize to never regret my mistakes. As corny as it sounds, I truly look back on my mistakes to work on my future. If I make a decision and looking back on it, it seems bad, I realize that 1000 times in that exact situation I would've made the same choice. The only thing that changes is that the second time I'm put in that choice I realize what I did wrong the first time.

I live life and make decisions but I properly assess my past to look to the future. I don't say, 'But what if this could happen?' I make all my decisions based on my mistakes, the hardcore evidence I actually know and have.

I have spent most of my life being cautious of taking the wrong path. However, my biggest leaps towards the right path have come with abandoning caution. Caution and fear are often based on norms and values that others have imposed on us or trained us to accept (this is usually in your head). The abandonment of caution usually leads you to do the thing you know in your heart (not your head) to be the truest thing for you. The trick is following your heart while not hurting others along the way... no matter what, "to thine own self be true".

Everything has purpose....

The weeds in the ground, if even to be plucked, had purpose....

We may not want them, as they are there, but if we did not work to remove them, there would be no beauty in the garden. And so there is purpose......

I am certainly afraid of taking the wrong path in life because I long to make my life matter......

If I do not find the good of anything, it is not worth my time to plant.....

It is the seeds of life that become that change that is only recognizable after it has undergone an amount of time....

Everything in its time.....

It is not meant to be seen right away.... Time is given us for patience sake.... That we must accept.......

If it is meant to be, there will be purpose.... and purpose always finds its place in time.......

Accept that!!!

Ginger

I know what you mean! But I am not afraid of taking the wrong path in life because I have faith in God. And he has a reason for everything. So if by chance I do travel down the wrong path, it is for a reason that only he knows. Plus, my faith in God will help me avoid the wrong paths in the first place!

Everybody makes mistakes. That's how we learn. Don't be shy, think it out, using whatever knowledge you have at the time and go.
Life does pass you by when you don't participate.

To me, the trick is that once you realize you're down the wrong road, have the chutzpah, juevos, or courage or whatever you want to call it to get off it, even if it means backtracking.
