Hi,
I have a Presario 2700 and when i boot up normally it crashed when i choose which account i wish to log it on. It is not a heat problem because it works perfectly in safe mode. I backup everything that i wished to keep and deleted the partition and went to install windows xp pro but when there is about 30 minutes left of installtion, it totally shuts down. It is not the battery as i charged that up to full. Please help.

dont install on your battery. leave it plugged in. mine used to stop midway also sometimes. i figured out that my install cd was bad. had too many scratches. try to get a ew copy for free, if not download a copy. thats what i did. and it is legal, since you do have your own key.
