Slavery became definately a depressing era in American background. even with the incontrovertible fact that, there is not any longer a single soul left in this usa that ever dealt in my view with slavery. no longer one. The state legislatures of the states of Virginia and North Carolina made this gesture for one reason and one reason only: Politics and loose votes. it continuously makes liberals sense good to make hollow gestures. look at Barbra Streisand. Tells the international to safeguard ability, yet flies around in a jet which will devour extra gas in a single hour than i will in my SUV in a year. that's all political showmanship and ability no longer something.

the states are apologizing to you, me and every american that was affected by the states participation in illegal activity. So if you accept it then accept it, if not why would a simple apology make you angy? of course there are larger things in the country that need taken care of, but its just an apology get over it.
