When in park the rpms race on there own, and the car acts as if it is going to stall, when accelerated it bogs out, and hesitates then goes, no engine light on. Mechanics find nothing wrong, they say bad gas, any ideas?

it sounds like you just need a tune up. maybe plugs, fuel filter, and wires. start simple and work your way up.

goop luck.

Sounds to me that you have a big vacuum leak, possibly an intermittent one. Sounds dumb I know but some of these motors had intake manifold gaskets that would leak, particularly when the motor was cold on a first start. If there is no SES light as you say, get a bottle of spray throttle cleaner and spray around intake area or any other area suspected of leaking air into the motor. If you spray and the motor starts to cough, you have found the leak and the problem. These intakes are hard to get the spray into the weird areas so if it doesn't do as I say, it still could be a problem. Some of the vacuum hoses to the rear of the motor also leaked and can cause this so inspect these as well. I don't think it is bad gas, so look here and then let me know and I'll try to think up something else for you. I also found a few of these cars that had an aftermarket theft system hooked into the ignition circuits that caused this type of complaint. If you have something like that installed, get it out of the ignition circuits and recheck. Good luck.

My Grand Prix did this.. the rpm's would rev on their own when I was idleing. Mine was something to do with the computer, just needed to be reset the correct way. But my mechanic also suggested it wasn't getting the right amount of spray for the gas. If this is the case any mechanic can simply adjust how much gas is sprayed. Also check possibly a hole or leak in a gas line.

could be bad gas, if not then id bet on dirty injectors. put a bottle of STP injector cleaner in and see if that helps. also, clean or replace your air filter.
