NO! over inflating will cause them to wear out in the center, and also, you will have much less rubber actually making contact with the road surface, which is dangerous.

Inflate to car maker's specs.

NO. You will were a spot right down the middle of the tire. All of the tread will NOT be in contact with the road which could cause you to loose control on corners and on braking.

Overinflating is as bad as underinflating. Ask a mechanic how many pounds of air you should have in your tires. If you go to a Jiffy-Lube kind of place to get your oil changes, they check your tire pressure for you.

Overinflating them is just as bad as underinflating them.

Overinflating rounds them out and they only ride on a narrow portion of the center of the tire. This wears that portion down much quicker.

no u should check them often and the psi amount is on your tires haven't u seen the commercials about that:)

Yes.My Mercedes says to over inflate by 6psi if driving over a 100mph.

read the maxium pressure rating on the sidewall of the tire and keep it 4 or 5 lbs. below the max. pressure.

it should say right on your tire what psi they require.
