I love it when people attack these ratings it is like saying screw the American people.

About the same level as Lincoln's approval rating in the south during the civil war.

Even Reagan had a low approval rating in early 1987.

So what - it doesn't matter.

Remember that Bush's approval rating with his base is low. Some of his actions to appease liberals makes me think he is shooting for 0% rating. However, this is the same base that would vote for him again anyday over a liberal despite their low approval of him.

By the way, Bush's approval ratings are still higher than the dem majority congress' approval ratings.

During WW2, Hitler's approval ratings from Americans was higher than Bush's is now. Not saying Bush is like Hitler (Bush is incompetent, not maniacal), just saying Hitler was more popular among Americans.

The one and only poll I agree with is that Americans have a lower opinion of Congress than they do the President.
