I think there are and always will be submissive women out there, but there is and always will be strong and independent women too! :)

How about this.
Submission to a husband is actually a beautiful thing.
I learned recently, that the family is actually designed after the nature of God.
Gods nature is triune. God the father, God the son, and God the holy spirit. The son submits to the father in everything, and the holy spirit submits in everything to the father and the son.
In the family the wife is told to submit to her husband in everything. Its cool because she is emulating Christ as he submits to the father. The children submit to mom and dad as the holy spirit submits to the father and the son. The balance is that although the wife is submitting to the husband, the husband is responsible to Love his wife unconditionally, and is accountable before God for this and for leadership of his wife, his children, and for provision for them. Both are equally challenging and rewarding.
