Mods maxi jet1200 @ 250gph to 1200gph or 2400gph. Please note 2 maxijet power head will be mods, does it over kill the fish with that flow rating inside the tank?

Pointing the heads in different directions is good advice. This will help keep and debris moving so your filters have a better chance of removing it.

What you should aim for is to have the combined output (filter + powerheads) be at least 5 to 10 times your tank volume per hour. For a 90 gallon, shoot for 450 - 900gph. A little more won't hurt your fish - maybe just make them swim a little harder - but don't get extreme, either! Also consider the normal activity level for the fish. A tang or wrasse may like the higher current, a small goby less so.

You don't need a lot of current for a fish only tank but I would dirrect the current in a couple of different directions AT the live rock.
You can use a timer made for powerheads to turn different heads on at different times, (2 to 6 minutes at a time) this will reduce any dead spots in the tank.

Copper head is right, however if you have corals or inverts this doesn't work. you would have to cut that by at least 1/3 depending on the type of corals you are keeping.

Having the heads pointed in different directions is the way to go. This doesn't allow for dead spots in the tank.
