Would you go to a locally owned anime shop if there were one around?

Question

The reason I asked this question here is because I'm looking to "potential customers." It'd be pointless to ask in the business section.

What I would like to know is that,even if there were a Borders, Best Buy, Fry's, Hot Topic, etc. in your area, would you go to a locally owned shop if the prices were the same? I live south of Houston, TX and I hope to open a shop down in League City one of these days :/ Let me know what you think, okay!

I have no idea quite yet ^^; I like the word "shoppe" but it seems to make people think that it's going to be like a botique and all expensive and whatnot. This might not be for maybe another 3-4 years from now. Working on some sort of business degree next semester.

I live an hour north of Los Angeles. And there was an Anime store at the mall a few years ago. It went out of business... something you may want to consider.

if the prices where the same yeah why not, exp if you sold other merchandise, shirts, manga, model kits etc.
