Scientific research can definitely help man, but of course if the research has an intended result such as human influence on global warming, then of course it is a sham.
Scientists are human, they have the same frailties as we all do. Some will lie to get research funding. Others will tell the truth until they go broke.
Science in the hands of politicians is the ultimate crime, it is used for evil purposes, such as the global warming scam.

Science does help mankind. If you really stop to think about it you will see that science can help find cures for certain illnesses. Biology helps a person understand their anatomy so they know how to take care of their body as well as to take care of the animals on this planet. Science has also proven that we are not the only life in the entire Universe. There are many stars out there and galaxies. It has allowed us to explore our curiosities about nature and mankind all at once. God produced the universe and us. He had to be first before anything could exist. He gave us a brain to think with, a nose to breath with, taste, sensations. He also put us in charge of trying to take care of the animals of this earth and nature. We are supposed to take care of it. If we didn't have Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, etc. We wouldn't be able to understand things as well to be able to try to do better for the environment, instead of continuing to destroy it. We wouldn't be able to find cures. A great many more people would be dying of things that seem so little to us right now, such as the flu. Through continuous studies a cure could be found for cancer and Aids and other diseases. God gave us a brain so we could think with them. But I agree there has to be a limit to our knowledge so we don't become so overfilled with pride that we forget where we came from. There must be a compromise. Don't exlclude either one(religion or science) entirely. Because of Science we now know about the dangers of global warming and what we might be able to do to be able to slow things down, though we know we can't stop it, we at least can try with the evidence and knowledge we have.

I even have given Lha Bho a thumbs down not because of the fact I disagree, yet because of the fact the two he has did not handle the question or he's employing a distinctive definition of technological awareness from maximum persons. If the latter is the case, he could clarify what he thinks "technological awareness" potential. in my view i think of the quesion gives you us a straw guy. i don't agree that "mankind" rejects technological awareness. There are a solid lots of people who wholeheartedly embody medical questioning, and intensely almost absolutely everyone reward from technological awareness one way or yet another. it truly is extremely the different of mankind rejecting technological awareness. it may be fairer to invite: why perform a little people reject technological awareness? The solutions could desire to be extra enlightening too.

Science is just the set of facts about the world in an ordered and tested way. You have used it all your life whether you realize it or not. We gain from the fact that we can make small predictions because of what we know. Without that you would live in a "through the looking glass" chaotic world.

It is funny that you bring up religion, because the same question could be asked of it. Personally, I think religion does more to scare people into believing than science ever could. Be good and live how we tell you, or you will end up in the pits of Hell? Sounds like a bad movie.

You can take God's advice the next time you go to the hospital or try to heat up your food without a stove or microwave.
I'm relying on science.

the problem with science is that sometimes it out-paces our morality.. such as with nuclear... but science isn't going to slow down.. if anything it will speed up.. so we have to find it in ourselves to morally catch up with it.
