I'm not a global warming activist, but the denial that goes on about global warming by Bush supporters cracks me up. So I pose the following question to those people: Did Bush lie when he made the following speech?
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2001/06/20010611-2.html
(Don't worry; it's the official White House website, so unless you consider that "subversive liberal propaganda," it's safe to click on.)

I see there's one thing Bush talked about that you support.
I am not a proponent of global warming. I think it maybe a natural occurrence.
I'm am, however, 100% behind stopping the pumping of billions of tons of pollutants into the air and the use cleaner renewable energy.
I just wish people would move in that direction without having to get worked up into a frenzy first.
I recall the severe pollution of the 1950s and 1960s. Rivers were so full of industrial waste they spontaneously combusted. The air was so foul, it smelled of rotten eggs. Acid rain killed off ponds and lakes.
As the years go by, it becomes necessary for environmentalist to keep upping the ante on the effects of pollution. It's like a parent trying to get a teenager to keep his room clean.
This global warming scare is doing more harm than good as far as keeping a clean environment is concerned. Keeping the earth green and the air fresh should be a common concern without the need for hype.

Not an environment-haters but
I just love the language you use in your questions. And let me make a prediction, the best answer will be someone who totally agrees with you and either said Bush lied, or mentions Haliburton, Cheney or all three! Predictable.
No, that is what he believes and I can disagree without considering him a liar. So when you have a belief and vocalize it and I disagree that makes you a liar (and vice-versa of course). I did not think the world was that black and white, you know all that grey and nuance you often talk about.
ADD: forgot one point. Like shooting fish in a barrel. lol
ADD2: Ha! As suspected your elitist, "I'm smarter than you", condescending attitude came through again!

Now, I haven't met everyone on Earth, but in all my years a met a fair amount of people and a decent cross section of types of people. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
Not once have I heard anyone complaining about having air to breathe. You have a natural talent for hyperbole it seems.

From your link he said Kyoto was a flawed and not fundamentally sound program. he said there is global climate change and they arent sure how much is natural and how exactly we can correct the problem and he has asked people to look into it.
Thats all the speech says. Did you actually have a point here you were tryin to make????

I was not aware that because I support Bush, I hate the environment. Thank you for clearing that up. Too bad you didn't tell me before I voted for a bill that would introduce Green energy to my University. You should have written this sooner, so I could rally against them!

Wow! You're really reaching on this one. You often critize Bush supporters for blindly following him, then when they disagree with him on an issue you use that as proof that he's lying.
