I am not the mother I am asking because my fiance seems to be getting haggled by the mom whom I feel isn't receiving child support in the best interest for the child even though he resides with us!

you have to go to court to drop the child support, for it isnt automatically done.
just call the caseworker and ask where to pick up a motion or ask if you just need to request a hearing.

I live in PG County, I've heard that Maryland cuts off child support at 18, but if the child is in coillege or will be going to college, the cut off age then turns to 23

Child support should end at 18 and/or when out of school.

You need to read what the original support order from the court says. Normally it is at 18 years old whether or not they are in school.

when the child turns 18 the parent is no longer entilted to get child support...if the child is not in school I would head strait back to court to have it stopped and have the mother return all the money she took that she knows she is not intitel to...good luck to you

IN MOST STATES CHILD SUPPORT ENDS WHEN THE CHILD IS 18. BUT IN THE STATE THAT I LIVE IN THE PARENT STILL HAS TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT IF THE CHILD IS IN COLLEGE.

you're a hundred% superb.the government is intruding on issues they have not have been given any corporation shifting into.we'd desire to continuously stick to what has labored for over 200 years and that's following the form.we'd desire to stop being such toddlers and wanting the government to do each little thing for us.we are able to manage greater ideal with out their "help."
