Some of the best are the replacements.

Vernon Wells is probably the best OF in baseball defensively, and as far as IF go, there are too many to mention. Orlando Hudson is probibly the one I'd go with (with John McDonald a close 2nd)

If you mean thats playing today I'd have to give it to Greg Maddux. It may seem stupid to pick a pitcher but he fields his position better than anyone else. Guys like Andruw Jones and Torii Hunter are great fielders too, but there are a lot or great outfielders out there. The only pitcher that can come close to Maddux is Kenny Rogers. If your talking all time greats its gotta be either Willie Mays or Brooks Robinson...watch some old tapes of the two of them and you'll be amazed. Willie had more ground to cover than any other CF in history and made it look easy, whild Brooks could field a hot shot at third like it was a slow roller....

The best defensive player in baseball is a guy who can make big plays and that man is Derek Jeter the play i'll never forget is the toss to Posada to get Giambi out. Torii Hunter is good and so is David Wright his Barehanded catch was amazing last year.

Righ now and possibly of all-time 12 time gold glove winner Omar Vizquel.

Won a glove glove last year at the age of 39 playing short stop.

His .984 career fielding percentage is the highest of all-time for a shortstop in major league history.
