I own a 2002 monte carlo, and I am installing eibach pro kit springs with a camber kit, but wondering if I need new struts to go with it?

if you are getting close to 50,000 miles then do them to save yourself some money later.the car will definitely handle better with new ones

Absolutely yes! Your OE struts are probably not only well worn being 5 years old with X number of miles but just as importantly they were designed to work with your OE spring rates, not the stiffer aftermarket ones. They will not be able to handle the increased spring rates resulting in poor ride and handling.

I would recommend a good aftermarket high-performance strut such as a Tokico or Koni.

Shocks/struts do not provide lift to the car, only dampening. If they are in good shape, leave them alone. Your springs provide the suspension.

Need em? no.
You should have them replaced while they've got everything disassembled to save you $400 later.
