Oxy 10 face wash & PanOxyl bars have worked just as well as Proactive.
Neutrogena makes a facial cleanser that can be used as a mask too. It has clay and benzoyl peroxide. I prefer to use it as a mask when I have a breakout.

Benzoyl peroxide products tended to over dry my skin so I alternated with Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads.

Well yea..clean and clear oil free acne wash works pretty well. Well at least it did for me. If you are have a short amount of time to get rid of the acne use somthing like Clean and clear Advantage acne spot treatment. It clears it up fast.

It depends, if you have sensitive skin, then I'd suggest staying away from the acid in those special washes. If your skin is normal/oily then I do suggest neutrogena, because I've found that their washes and products are better suited for clearing away acne.

there's a face cleanser from neutrogena called clean pore cleanser/mask. it has benzoyl peroxide like proactive, but only 3.5%, but it does work great. plus, it's only like $8.00 for a 4.2 oz. tube. good luck nd hope i helped!
