Yes..and the 2000 election was rigged. Look into it. It was not the distraction of the hanging chads that people talk about. Volusia COunty used electronic voting machines with no paper trail. 16,000 votes were transfered from Gore to a little known candidate at 10 pm on election night after a second "memory card upload". Bush was given a victory of a little over 500 votes. When was the last time you heard of an election going to the Supreme Court? That ought to disturb you, that it even had to be questioned.
But...
I guess it demends on what is important to you and what values you hold true. I personally believe it would be. We wouldn't be losing valuable US lives in a senseless war. And lets not forget everyone, 9/11 did happen on this President's watch, less than a month after being handed a briefing titled "Bin Laden Determined to attack in the United States" and talked about AL Qaeda surveiling buildings including the Twin Towers in NY and posible Air Line Hijackings. Iraq has not prevented any attacks. In fact attacks by AL Qaeda have increased since 2001. Thye have just targeted our interests abroad, which is just as good to them. I don't remember an Attack like 9/11 occuring during any other Presidents term. And don't say the Feb 2003 WTC Bombing, Clinton was in office for less than 6 weeks.
Also as to the Clinton Hater, I don't see where Clinton's transgression rose to the level of this Bush. Yes Clinton lacked morals and lied about cheating on his wife and maybe had some shady business deals, but 7,000 US Citizens didn't die during his Presidency related to bad decisions and terrorist attacks. Just so you know, I am a gulf war veteran and lost my best friend in the 9/11 attack (James A. Greenleaf Jr was on the 94th floor of WTC#1) I supported Reagan, Voted for the First Bush, and never voted for Clinton, The only time I voted Democrat was in this last election. Also Bush is in Business with the Saudi's including Bin Ladens family, (17 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis and 2 were from the UAE -which also funneled money for the 9/11 attacks) UAE is the Arab country Bush tried to sell our Port's Security to. You don't find that disturbing?

** Wow Michael I'm glad you know me so well. I was raised in a military family and served in Desert Storm, and my family was always Republican, but I started doing my homework rather than just believing what people told me, and after the questions in the 2000 elections my opinons changed. I do remember this, right after the Cole bombing and Bush took the Presidency, I found it interesting that all you Heard Bush and Rumsfeld talk about was "Star Wars Missile defense System" I thought that went out with Reagan and couldn't understand why that was our defense in the age of terrorism. Remeber the Interview of Gingrich in 2000, his comment and criticism of CLinton was this "He's obsessed with this Bin laden guy.." yeah go figure. I did notice that you didn't comment on the Bush family business parteners and selling our port security to the enemy though.

How, pray tell, was the election rigged?

How many recounts do you need? Independent recounts by several news agencies found that he won by over 500 votes in FL. AND that did not include absentee ballots that the Dems protested that they did not want counted because the bulk of them came from military serving overseas. If those had been included then he would have won by over 1000 votes. Again, how was it rigged?

Regarding the Volusia county electronic voter box "conspiracy", there was no conspiracy. If anything went wrong it was because of the elections staff and that's it. No Republican crept into the office and "rigged" anything. Take your mind out of the movies and think for yourself. All of the counties that reported having "trouble" also had supervisors of elections who were democrat, enough said!!!

But, a manual recount was done, several times, before and after President Bush took office.

It has been over 6 years, get over it!

Planning for 9-11 started in 1999, when Clinton was president.
The memo you reference a) was generic as to targets, b) had no hard evidence of a specific plan c) the plane hijackings mentioned referred to overseas flights, not domestic.
Clinton's lax approach to terrorists, (the evidence of which was in Sandy Bergers socks) and wimpish response to terrorism (Mogadishu, the USS Cole, African embassy bombings, etc.) allowed Al Qaeda to plan bigger and more deadly attacks ending with 9-11.
I'm usually suspicious of anyone who says they have always voted one way and now they won't vote for candidate 'X'. That is a pretty good sign that they are a partisan trying to add greater credibility to their position. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but a persons core values, once established, don't usually change. If you were conservative enough to vote Republican from Reagan through 2004 it would take a significant change in the Republican platform (which hasn't happened) to suddenly make you switch parties.

Good lord I love liberals. First, the election was in 2000 not 2001. We never elect a President in an odd numbered year. Second, the election was decided ultimately by the state of Florida's Democratic Secretary of State and finally, the world is a changing - ever dynamic place and wars have been started by more Democrats than Republicans.

Get your basic facts straight. The election was in 2000, not 2001.

Number one there was no election in 2001. He was inaugurated in 2001. Show me one iota of proof that the election was rigged. Get back on your meds. You'll feel much better.

There was no presidential election in 2001.

Now, if you mean 2000 or 2004, no. He didn't rig anything.

Just like a lib to be an idiot and post that the "2000" elections happened in 2001.

See, you just proved that all of you need to read once in a while.

Here's what we do know if GWB didn't come into power:

Sadam would still be running around slaughtering innocent people. A few more airplanes would probably be flying into other buildings in addition to the attacks on 9/11. The economy would be going bad and taxes would be high. Halliburton and Exxon Mobile shareholders wouldn't be as happy as they are now.
