Do you need any more ceification for working on front end loaders and dozers and the such? Or is it like cars where you do not need but it is nice to have certificates such as ASE. If you need some certification what do you need and where do you get it? Thanks

try a diesel engine and tech school. there are several to chosse from. Levels of education are not manditory, but certainly help with pay scales (ie: apprentice-journeyman)

If you want GOOD pay and bennies .. Yes. Check your area for trade schools and check the JCs in your area. Some companies will train "OJT" but most want you to have a basic certificate when you start. Check your county offices and bus authority as well, they will often hire then train.
