I bought a box of 7 OV tests because I wanted to pinpoint exactly what day I ovulate on. My cycle is a little long and I read somewhere that if the lutial (spell check) phase is too long it can be a cause of early miscarriage. The first day I checked there was no line. The second day, and third day the line was faint. The fourth day though, the line was darker then the control line. On the fifth day the line was still there but it was a little lighter then the control. It went back to being darker then the control againg on day 6. Today is day 7 and it is just a little lighter again.
The box says that if the test line is lighter then the control line then it does not count. But, for that to be true that would mean that I have ovulated twice, and I find that highly unlikely (and probably impossable).
I can't tell from my mucus cuz it ranges from creamy, to non existant, to sticky and streachy, to creamy every other day. I have yet to see anything egg white about it.

It is totally plausible. Fraternal twins result from two separate eggs being fertilized.

PS - Your additional info. gave me a giggle! Best wishes in your pursuit.

Of course you could have ovulated twice.... more than one egg could have ripened and ruptured on two different days.
