Where can i start to buy shares in a company?

I am new to buying shares, it all looks very confusing, i dont know what company to buy shares in and where to do it, can someone help me please?

Look into buying stocks directly from companies: www.drip-investor.com or www.moneypaper.com. Or try joining an investment club, where you only put in a small amount every month, but you buy with other people, and that will teach you how to learn about investing and how to buy stocks. Go to www.better-investing.org to learn how to find a club.

You sound pretty new to this so I would recommend some education before wasting your money. Get your self some business newspapers and magazines and start reading, maybe enrole in a course, and definitely talk to an expert. You could even go in to your bank and ask someone there, they'd probably be willing to help.

To be successful in trading, you need to be aware of trends, have good instincts and be willing to lose a lot of money. If you can't afford to lose, don't play.

You're not living under a rock! That was mean. I didn't know anything about investing either. Investopedia.com is a great place to start and learn your basics. They also tell you what websites you can buy through I think.

Talk to a financial advisor. Best plan of action is usually to go with a mutual fund. There is less risk.

Listen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! until you open a brokerage account, nothing matters. That is the first and biggest step. I have decades of experience and I am glad to help others, but until they open a brokerage account- it means nothing and I refuse to help. I know it sounds harsh, but in 5 years you will agree.

Pick a brokerage, walk in, and ask to speak with a registered representative. I picked one of the large houses decades ago and am still with them.
