Because its completely normal for it to be doing so, early spring always has had huge temperature extremes, 80s one day followed by 20's a couple of days later. its the lag of seasons, march is more of a winter month than spring and same goes for September with summer. this has nothing to do with global warming and anyone who wants you to believe this is completely wrong, this is normal weather, for as long as man has records, this has taken place.

for example, 2 of Chicagos biggest snow storms have happened in late March and a 10+ inch snow has fallen in Chicago as late as April 2nd.

Because it's _supposed_ to snow in Michigan in April. If the cherry trees wake up too soon they could be damaged by a frost in May. It needs to stay cold a little longer for nature to work properly.

I live in NH and it snowed all day yesterday and last night and has been spitting snow off and on all day. We got about 14" so far. There was very little snow left a day ago and the birds were arriving for the season. Go figure! Hopefully any bugs that were hatching out will freeze and die such as black flies.

I live in MN and we had snow also. It's about 25 degrees out right now and it got down to like 5 last night. Unusual for April, but that's what you get in MN. Last Monday it was up to 78 degrees and now today 25 - crazy stuff!

Dude this sucks. It was stupid cold here in South Dakota this morning.

Maybe the Canadians have a secret weather machine and they are getting even with us for stealing Pamela Sue Anderson and Shania Twain from them.

It always snows in the midwest in April. And May, too. "Snow is the poor farmer's nitrogen."

It snowed here too, and we never see snow in April. Southern BC--palm trees grow here (in protected locations)!
