7(x + 4) - 8(x + 3) = 5(2x - 1)

7x + 28 - (8x + 24) = 10x - 5

7x + 28 - 8x - 24 = 10x - 5

- x + 4 = 10x - 5

- x + 4 + x = 10x - 5 + x

4 = 11x - 5

4 + 5 = 11x - 5 + 5

9 = 11x

9 / 11 = 11x / 11

9 / 11 = x
