The crime rate in Denver as a whole is higher then the National average. However it is actually restricted to a few places that surveys don't distinguish the difference in.

No. Ignore the media. Denver is safer than most major cities. Some parts of the actual city of Denver are a little iffy and I wouldn't be caught in Lower Downtown at night on the weekends with all the depraved drunks. But overall it's a fine city. Metro Denver is like 75% suburbs so when you say 'Denver' you have to specify. But all the suburbs are very safe and the area as a whole is very safe and very wholesome.

Denver is about average in crime for a city its' size. Just be aware and don't do anything stupid and you should be OK.

No! Toronto is has the highest rate of all kinds of crimes
in the World!

Here in Toronto Downtown Courts all judges , lawyers, and police are thievies and clearly selling drugs
