It's like a lot of things---depending on whether you live in the country, a city, a small town; whether you're rich or poor; married or single; old or young. This is such a big question. Could you answer it about the country YOU live in? Would everybody who lives in your country answer it the same way?

there are sooo many different types of places in america its so hard to describe it as just one places. I guess thats one good espect of the country, is that there are so many different types of places and people that can accomadate your personality, and needs. If you live in a place like New York, the life there is so fast. Everybody is in a hurry and has someplace to be or something to do, thats proabably why the people are may seem rude or unaware of their space around them. If you live in a place like Los Angales, the city and surroundings itself are absolutely beautiful, but the people are actually kinda shallow. They value appearance a lot more than they should and are a air headed, lol. But in a more possitive light, if you live somewhere like san fransisco, you are in the heart of california where everything and everyone are so liberal and sweet too. No matter who you are and what you look like you will be accepted and fit in. Everyone goes up to everyone on the street and talks to them. There is a part of the city dedacaded to china, mexico, latin america, and probably every european country. Ummmm lets see what else, everything is really big here compared to europe, including the food portions, which doesnt exactly work in our favor but the food is good despite what you hear. its not all macdonalds haha. as for the small towns and suburbs they are all the same across the country, the people in the community all know eachother and value family life as most countries do. the east coast is probably more of a political and intellectual atmosphere. dating is widely valued amongst teenagers for better or for worse. and ya its got its ups and downs just like everywhere. u should visit sometime!!

Lets see... I live in Miami, love it and hate it... the love is not enough so I'm planning on moving to the UK next year.. lol

Weather is awsome here, 365 days of summer, works is crazy.. sometimes 18 hours a day. (been there done that)
All the doors are open for you to grow, yet the cost is very high.
Lots of delinquency. People no longer have values or moral... WHATSOEVER. Anything goes... thats the part I dont like

All in all... the only very good thing of living here is that you can study and grow... and thats pretty much it!

A lot better than any county i suppose. But you know this is very subjective. All of us have our bias towards other nations. We tend to be generalist. For someone from a developing countries, America embodies our dreams in life. Here sky is the limit in terms of opportunities, but any country can of course. But the democratic and freedom loving americans make it possible for anyone to reach their dreams in life.
America is materialistic and consumer friendly. Imagine using a pair of shoes and return it after 3 months and being replaced without question. But just like any other country it has its own problem and pecularities. It is being adjusted to it and accepting it as your second home that matters most in the end.
See you around soon...

It has good and bad like any other nation on earth. It has a high standard of living...unless you are born into an urban, minority area.Still, that is a higher standard of living than the 3rd world poor.I lived in Chile for 6 months several years ago and saw the TRULY poverty stricken souls there, who got no government assistance.Children were begging on the street there...I had never before seen that, growing up in the USA.
Where we do have poverty is in the White House. The worst kind of poverty--the complete lack of common sense and desire for peace.

it depends on which part of the country you grew up in or currently live in. it is a very large country, so there is a lot of room for many different lifestyles.
also, due to the large population, we also have our fair share of idiots and bad policies. and yes, out leaders can be dolts, but there are lots of bad leaders all over the planet, so that's not too outstanding.
we depend of cars a lot, probably too much, but that is also due to the size of the country.
i hope to someday be able to visit the other side of the world to see what it is like where you live!

Well I have lived in several states and they were all nice.. except where I live currently, Orlando Florida.. it is HORRID. If you took all the people at the lowest rung of humanity and put them in one city.. and then added 8 theme parks you would have Orlando.

It is a lot of fun. The roads are all paved and signed properly, they are maintained; the weather varies depending on location but there is always a lot to do and usually jobs are plentiful. I love it.

I live in the southeast of the US.

I really don't like it much. There's no public transportation and everyone I see is miserable.

Oh, and the music sucks, too.

I suppose you would have to love burgers and fries to live there. I personally would love to live there as life seems to be so upbeat and fast.
