If you don't like a question simply ignore it and answer a question that you do like. Do you agree or disagree? I ask this question because in my last question somebody made a remark as if she didn't like the question. I'm just curious as to what everybody has to say.

i couldn't agree with you more. the only reason they even leave these remarks is because they are trolling for points. that is exactly why we need to replace the report button with an ignore button. since Y! spends all their time screwing over those of us who don't wish to conform to their "guidelines", they let the trolls and report-happy morons run rampant harassing us in our Q&A. if we could ignore them and deny them the chance to post to our questions - and in turn deny them the 2 points they are after - they would definitely back off. in my opinion at least....

I agree and disagree. There is such thing as a stupid question which deserves a stupid answer in return. Sometimes silly questions also deserve silly answers. And if your question is derogatory in anyway, well then it is going to get an answer that is in defiance to it. Asking a real question in search of a real answer is possible here. However, asking an opinionated question is going to get an opinionated answer.
Plus, some people just like being rude and sarcastic, while others are just here to make themselves laugh. There are a lot of bored people out there.

I'm a firm believer in if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all. I think some of the people in this category have been coming here too long and too much. They are "assuming" an ownership that they are not entitled to. If you don't like a question it's easy enough to move onto the next of 275,000 posted.
