Original examples: Hillary Clinton & Nancy Pelosi. Also, the Dixie Chicks recieved death threats while a male musician like Bruce Springstien was left alone.
New examples: A female celebrity Rosie O'Donnell attacked and insulted left and right while a male celebrity Sean Penn pretty much left alone.
Rush Limbaugh uses the term "feminazi" as a catch-all phrase when talking about any empowered woman. He uses it to discribe pretty much any woman who doesn't agree with him.
Why is there a double-standard among the right-wing? Why can a male liberal speak his mind and be pretty much left alone but a female liberal is fair game for any number of personal attacks, threats and libel/slander??

I appreciate the comments, one poster responded by listing some conservative women, and that this somehow refutes my point.
Of all the conservative women out there, perhaps only Ann Coulter (a hatemonger) has been subjected to the same kind of attacks that relitively moderate liberal women have been subjected to.
Name one liberal who has attacked Nancy Reagan or Madeline Albright in the same manner in which Hillary Clinton has been attacked. You can't, that is becuase the left doesn't associate an unhealthy fear of strong women, nay it respects them the same as men.

Because the conservatives are afraid of women's rights, and wage war on the slightest semblance of feminism. They need to spread as much inequality as possible so that rich *men* can stay in power.

Why do Democrats hate women? Ann Coulter receives death threats from liberals from speaking her point of view and Sean Hannity does not....the same arguments that you used can be turned right back around. Rush Limbaugh uses the term feminazi to describe brain washed women, not empowered women. Why is there a double standard among the liberal elite? Why can a male conservative speak his mind and be pretty much left alone but a female conservative is fair game for any number of personal attacks, threats and libel/slander? Conservatives love strong women because they challenge us in contrast to liberal men that love women that think they are strong because they are more easily manipulated, i.e. Bill Clinton.

I think that the liberal mouth pieces are all being treated the same from the right side of the Republican party.
Rosie gets daily blasts because she makes daily blasts.
Sean Penn gets blasted every time he is seen on the news saying some thing dumb.
The Dixie Chicks got blasted from their fans for spitting on the Country. As they saw it. I don't think Bruce has had fans to care one way or the other what he says.
Al Gore gets blasted and he isn't holding any public office. Obama gets blasted like Hillary. The difference more people dislike Hillary's lying political agenda then Obamas.

Yes there is a double standard. Women on the left believe that they should be able to say and do anything they want and have no reproductions. The "Dixie Chicks" should be allowed to say that they are ashamed that Bush is from Texas and that country fans are stupid, Rosie O'Donnell should be allowed to spout hate speech and spout out and out lies about Trump. If anyone questions her on anything she cries gay bashing and says you hate me because I am a lesbian(News flash everyone knew she was gay and loved her. we only started to not like her after she became a *****)
Bruce Springsteen and Sean Penn get hate mail and threats but I guess they don't cry about it to any reporter who will listen.
Rush does use the term feminazi for "empowered women" and you may hate it but maybe you should think about it. The Nazi party ran over, discredited, lied about, and destroyed rivals just like your list of "empowered women"
So you are 100% correct. There is a double standard. It says Leftest women should never be questioned or held accountable for their actions like equals they say they are.But if you are a right wing woman you can be lied about and attacked every day . No matter what. A real woman, like so many out there who you dont care about because they don't share your obvisous political agenda, doesnt need people like you to cry for them and say everyone says bad things about them they can take care of them selves.
The right wing dose not hate women. They just consider them equals. Unlike you who want things both ways. You want to be able to speak your mind but not have anyone call you on it!

Sarah Palin has no longer some thing to do with feminism. Any lady who thoroughly botches a run on the workplace of the vp at the same time as jointly polarizing the moderates of both political activities and thoroughly humiliating herself each and each and every time she opens her mouth isn't doing very much for females in capacity or for the reason of equality. She is merely a humiliation to herself and to her political celebration. when we help Hilary Clinton in 2016 you'll see merely how supportive of girls we are.

Here we go again.
republicans freed the slaves , passed the equal rights amendment, wrote and passed the woman's right to vote legislation, all with harsh resistance ,even violent resistance from the open minded DEMOCRATS. Most of us also, Marry the woman they love , don't call their wives their babies momma, thank god for their wife and family every day, Some of us even pray for the democrats and their flip flopping with the wind flow.
Not to mention, Republican women are hotter than dems, They take less beatings and have less emotional break downs, and take less drugs. And have more self confidence.

Conservatives have long been opponents of equal rights for women. Despite the fact that conservative women have also benefited from the efforts of liberal women who were at the forefront of the equal rights campaign, such women ignore the recent history of the women’s movement. The conservative base also includes sexists. The appeal to that base, whether direct or subtle, is a continuing theme in conservative politics.

Rosie is a dike - that's why we conservatives don't like her. Sean Penn isn't gay, and isn't throwing out conspiracies every morning on some feminist tv show about 9/11 either.
Rush has a large following of women, so maybe you should try listening to the women he's referring to as feminazis - I'm guessing he doesn't use that term for Condie Rice, Laura Bush, etc.
Get a clue.

You keep ignoring the answers.
Sean Penn is a naive fool. But a good actor.
I love women. I like women who are empowered.
But if someone behaves like an idiot then why should it be ignored. And the women you mentioned all have on multiple occasions.

Hilliary [She's Incompetent [I don't hate her]], Dixie Chicks [Good band, bad Publicist] Pelosi, well she is a Thief and a liar and it now appears possibly even treasonous.
Pick some other Women; Condi, Margret Thatcher, Madeline Albright etc. Now those are some great personalities.

One could say the same of Liberals and Conservative women. Coulter, Rice, and others receive the same sort of insensitivity from their philosophical opponents.
