good question!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am confident to say that all the blood in each species r different....some more so than others. Hemoglobin concentration will vary among species depending on what they have to do to survive. For example....a cheetah's blood will carry lots of hemoglobin to carry oxygen to their body parts as they run full speed. They require a lot of oxygen for top performance. In contrast, frogs hemoglobin level r way lower than ours because they r amphibians....and they dont need put a lot of stress on their bodies.

Now I could be wrong on the reasons why their bloods r different BUT i do know that not all blood are Iron based (ours are). For example.....Horseshoe crabs' blood is copper based. AND guess what the color of their blood is! ITS BLUE!!!!! freaky huh?

Now I wonder what color blood do deep sea creatures generally have.

Good question

Big difference between birds and mammals ... birds have nucleated red blood cells. Mammal mature rbcs don't have a nucleus!

As you might have noticed, insect blood is green (in most cases) not red. It doesn't carry oxygen, no hemoglobin.
