To do a split, make sure you stretch. Do a pike stretch on the ground, it works really great and helps you get flexible. (sit on the ground with your legs stretched out in front of you)
Touch your nose to your knee.
Start standing, then start to slide down. The first time you aren't going to get very far, but that's OK. Keep trying and stretching. Don't rush in learning a split, it takes time. Stretch after you practice your splits too, so they aren't sore in the morning or the next day.

You can really injure yourself by doing front flips without proper training and supervision. Join a local gym class to do it properly, for your own safety.

Get your feet planted good to the ground. You need to spring off of your feet up into the air. When you are up, twist forward and have your knees and head tucked tight to your chest pulling your arms in around them. You will be rolling mid air in a forward motion and once you fully rotate land feet shoulder width apart and plant them firmly to the ground, back straight, arms up.

Good luck!

at once? cause that could be difficult but....

split:

you just start by going as far down as you can till it hurts and you go a little farther down every day

*it really helps to do them when your watching TV!

if you do them everyday you should get them in about two weeks...

Front flip:

You will need someone to spot you and lots of mats and or pillows to fall on.

You jump and try to tuck in the air to help you spin, then you stick your legs out and stand. (simple in words, not so much the case) Have your spotter help you by holding your weight. (Best to get a man for this job).

This will take you forever to learn so I agree take lessons to learn to tumble. A professional really will help!

Best of luck! I know this will get frustrating for you but you will master it!
