7. Following that Logic (if it is logic) You or I could be the kid at school that other kids make fun of, a blind person that needs help with something but is ignored, an elderly woman/man in a nursing home that has no one to visit her/him, a cripple in a wheelchair. 8. Do you agree then. And this is my point- that we ought do unto others as we would like done unto ourselves? Because for all the control we had over are birth. Doctor Y misses the point but Chris said it better than I could perhaps. I'm not young though, 56.

Young person, you should look into spiritual enlightenment. We are all as one. Not only *could* we have been anyone else, but we *are* everyone else. Unfortunately, few people can see this and insist on making distinctions which is why we have war and famine and all this. It is important to follow the path. You have the very beginnings of it, follow it through. Good luck.

Your conclusion doesn't even vaguely follow from the premeses.

You seem to assume that because you can't control something, it might have turned out differently. Does that mean that because you don't control the rotation of the Earth that it's only chance that makes it keep doing so? Lack of control does not CREATE options.

Likewise, it almost goes without saying that if you were someone else, you would be someone else. If you were born differently from how you are, you would BE different than you are. You as you would not be you. If A is not B, then A is not B. Even Aristotle knew that.

Lastly, since we KNOW that people are different how can it possibly make sense to treat them all the same? Pretending other people want what you would want is just that - a pretense. Doing unto others as you would have them do unto you is a prescription for disaster. Some people enjoy being spat upon. Some people like to be left alone. Some people like the colour blue.

To impose your own likes on everyone else is nothing but the sheerest, most insensitive egotism. Period.

Since we had no control over our birth....... why complicate a non-issue. You are here, you, supposedly in control of your life. Maybe you're not. You are, BE. Don't sweat the small stuff. 95% is small stuff. Geeez!

i strongly agree with you but there are men who make the conditions control them and others who overcome there conditions and control it . take Helen killer for example she was born not able to hear or talk but she made all the world respect her .
