i go to my dermatologist to this procedure done. i have very sensitive skin, and they know me.

The laser itself feels like somebody is snapping a rubber band on the inside of your wrist. it can sting or hurt more in areas where you have little to no fat. your upper lip can hurt, under neath your chin on your neck. stomach right near belly button. They do make numbing creams which the person doing the treatment for you can perscribe and you can also take advil or something prior to the treatment. However, I had a very nasty experience with the numbing cream and got 2nd degree burns due to allergic reaction.

The place doing the treatment should do a test on you to determine how much laser your skin can take. They start at the lowest setting and work up. Your skin should just turn red for a short period of time and then go back to normal within the hour. Ice packs help.

I hope this answers your questions. Laser treatment was the best thing I ever did.
