Has anyone come across any noise concerns of this type that sounds similar to to bad shock or sway bar link??? If so, what was the fix???

Clunky-clunky noise?
Upper shock mount rubber bushing.

The bushings are replaceable, but a real pain in the butt.

Shocks are fairly inexpensive and pretty easy to replace.
I'd replace both left and right though. Not just one.

Just to make sure, slide underneith the car and try twisting it a little. You should NOT be able to.

my buddy had this problem with his car and the struts needed to be replaced cause they give out after a while cause it was stock struts after putting some checker ones or even aftermarket, they were fine....
