I have a new baby betta and it seems to have red on the bottom fin could this be fin rot and can I put some medication in the tank that he is in, there are three more babies in there with it, they all are over two months and a half, but the three of the other ones are still kind of small. Will the medication hurt them or should I just move the one with the red on his fin and put him into another container.

I would say it's probably just coloration beginning to showup more on that one. Leave him where he is and don;t treat with anything at this point. Just watch him carefully and if other signs of disease show up then tackle that.

I wouldn't do anything, fry are very sensitive so if you don't know exactly what wrong it's not good to treat them. my guess would be it's just coloring, fin rot does not turn the fins colors, it just rots them away.

Unless they are acting sick let them be. My bettas can have many different colors - especially when the light hits them inn a certin direction.

Try something in the water for all of them. If one has something the rest might be getting it too.
