Meiosis II is more like mitosis because its goal is to separate the double-stranded chromosomes, pulling them each apart at the centromere. Sister chromatids go to opposite poles of the spindle.

Meiosis I isn't that much like mitosis because entire double stranded chromosomes go to opposite poles. The chromosomes are getting away from their homologous partners, not sister chromatids getting away from their sisters.
