She died of an aneurysm at 78 years old. Her ex-husband who she co-starred with in I Love Lucy, even after their divorce, died at age 69. Sad story with these two. One of the most powerful and successful couples of their time but had a hard time finding contentment in each other...

ruptured aneurysm (a weakening of an arterial wall) of the aorta (largest artery of the heart). You can have an aneurysm without it rupturing btw, and they can occur almost anywhere in the body, though there are spots which seem to be favoured (no pun intended)
