My friend asked me this earlier this morning, I want to give her a good motivational answer but just cant see to find the correct words. Shes going through a tough time and needs a reason to continue on. She recently gave up her baby to his father and doesnt get to see her, shes not got the wonderful job she wants ...but she does try just has not had the chance to find her place in the world I guess...

the reason she doesnt get to see her child is because she is several states away with the father and his family.

I agree with the others that life is difficult for everyone. She's having a hard time seeing the good things in life right now. Maybe you can help her see that there are good things in life. That she has family/friends who care about her. I can't imagine how hard it is to give up a baby, maybe she can get visitation? If she wants her daughter in her life she should fight for her. But for now, just be there for her. Why don't you suggest a night out or a night in...hang out and talk, cry whatever. Good luck!

oh boy, what a good question. life is difficult for most, but alot of people dont talk about it or admit it.you just have to take one day at a time and appreciate the little things. i guess im just trying to talk myself into believing that because i find life difficult too.

because of the fact we are all innately egocentric??? (do no longer tell me you are the sole good guy on the face of the earth.) we are able to nonetheless savour existence, no rely if that's confusing or no longer. Obviously, she has made some mistakes, but keep telling her that we all make them and that we need to forgive ourselves and move on. Good things happen when people change their lives for the better. Just keep being her friend and available to talk with her.

Your friend is not unhappy for the usual reasons.
What happened was something too terrible to soothe using words and answers.

Giving up a child is one of the most painful experiences a person, especially a mother, has to go through.
Why isn't she allowed to see her child?
