I now know the answer my teacher was looking for. Technically all of these aid in digestion however, the esophagus does very little except move the food down. So the answer is B

The answer to your question is:

b. esophagus

Why?
Because the mouth produces saliva, in the salivary glands, which can transform carbohydrates into simpler forms, the stomach produces chloride acid which decomposes food into simpler forms of nutrients and finally the small intestine takes part absorbing the nutrients.

The function of the esophagus doesn't take part of digestion because doesn't interacts chemically with the nutrient, neither small intestine, but the interaction of small intestine is more strong.

Yours faithful.
