Liberals have ALWAYS fought for:
CLEAN AIR
CLEAN WATER
CIVIL RIGHTS
VOTING RIGHTS
EQUAL RIGHTS
ENDANGERED SPECIES
SOCIAL SECURITY
MEDICARE
MEDICAID
These are all ACTUAL NAMES OF LAWS that LIBERALS HAVE FOUGHT FOR and CONSERVATIVES, REPUBLICANS AND RIGHTWINGERS HAVE FOUGHT TO DESTROY.
If you are FOR any of the above, then you share the views of LIBERALS.

Actually I am a registered independent who leans more toward the liberal side because I am so sick of how the christian coalition backs the republicans. There is supposed to be a separation of church and state remember. It also seems like the republicans have this weird desire to live in the past rather than move forward. I hear many republicans say if only we had another Ronald Reagan. Well we don't so get over it! I am a sick of both parties because they focus and waste so much time with what makes us different and not what makes us similar!

I am liberal mainly because I do not like the way conservatives judge others and try to tell them how to live their lives. Nobody has the right to look down their nose at another human being. I am also pro-life though, so I am not 100% liberal, just relate more to them. I could care less what Hollywood says, but most of my cool friends are liberals. I am 34.

I'm liberal because I went to college and got educated. You might as well accuse the University of Delaware of being liberal too then. I learned the REAL version of American history for the very first time in college and also learned in my sociology classes how our social institutions such as public schools, bend the truth and skip over things if they are not becoming of America. Then, in my political science classes, I learned that we are not really a democracy anymore because the power of the people was stripped away by people like Bush & Co. Then, I started thinking for myself and I put 2 and 2 together and realized that our government isn't all it claims to be and I'm going to dedicate my life to changing it for the better, even if I have to die trying! I am the REAL patriot!

I was born in a blue collar liberal family 50 years ago and am very, very proud to carry on the tradition. My mother used to take me to peace rallies and election meetings in the 60s and take me to vote with her to show me how patriotic Americans act on their views, not just spout them. We watched the Watergate hearings all summer in 1973 and rejoiced when that crook Nixon resigned in shame. I am very active politically on local Democratic campaigns and have also served on the executive board of a local gun control group. I try to live green (could do better) and teach my children the value of public service and how evil the current administration is and why.
Of course everyone's trying to push their "agenda" on each other - what's the use of having one if you don't want everyone to follow it? But there are limits to what any agenda should try to impose on anyone, particularly through government intervention. I can't stand the hypocrasy that is rampant in the current Republican platform and the contradictions that those that call themselves "conservative" seem to ignore (less government and controlled gov't spending for instance)
LIBERAL AND PROUD - I love how some wingnuts think it's an insult - call me that any time you want!

I'm not sure which question you want answered.
How liberal am I? I don't know how to gauge that.
What makes me a liberal? I am in favor of progress and making sure that our basic civil liberties are protected and that no one group is treated as less than equal simply because a larger group doesn't like them. I believe that the people, not the government, should be responsible for our government.
I don't push my "agenda" on anyone; quite the opposite; I don't force anyone to do anything. I don't try to make choices for other people. I speak my mind, but you don't have to agree with me.
How liberal am I? I have no idea. I don't quantify my beliefs.

I am 45.
I am a liberal.
How liberal? I don't know.
On a scale of 1-10, with John Ashcroft being "1" and Hugo Chavez being a "10", I would say I am a 6, maybe a 7.
What makes me liberal?
The policies of our government over the past 6+ years.

I am a liberal because I believe things like the following:
Programs like unemployment and welfare are good, so long as they are managed correctly.
Our priorities should be on things like education, social equality, poverty, etc. Not on things like gay marriage and Iran's meaningless rhetoric.
I believe we need a nationalized healthcare system like most other successful 1st world countries have.
I don't believe that the accumulation of wealth is , in and of itself, is the highest goal. Sometimes turning a profit is less important than clean air or water.
